Lise Roy
Originally from Kapuskasing, Ontario which is a French and English speaking township, Lise and her husband, Jacques moved to Terrace Bay in 1975 where they raised three children. It was important for her children to be educated in a french school. Lise served as a trustee from 1989 - 1997 with the North of Superior Catholic School Board and Conseil scolaire de district catholique des Aurores Boréales which was later integrated. They also owned a pizzeria and subs restaurant for 25 years. After they retired, they moved to Sault St. Marie in 2018 to be with the family and grand-children. Presently, she works at Ecole Notre Dame du Sault as a lunch supervisor. She also joined the Centre Francophone of Sault St. Marie participating in the activities and festivals being offered to the public.
