Christine Viens et Jean-Marie Wissell
We are both retired elementary school teachers. Christine arrived from Upton, Quebec in 1987, and Jean-Marie from St. Charles, Ontario in 1988.
We have always been very involved in our local community, whether it be Francophone, Métis, Indigenous, Catholic, or Baptist.
Currently, we are still involved with Fort St. Joseph for Parks Canada and the Ermatinger Clergue National Historic Site. Jean-Marie is the Commanding Officer of the Sault Ste. Marie Power and Sail Squadron and of the Voyageur District for the CanBoat/NautiSavoir organization. He is also President of Youth Education Branch 25 of the Royal Canadian Legion and of Zone H-4. Christine is very involved with the same organization as a judge and scrutineer. He has been President of the Céfa for many years.
