The Francophone Centre of Sault-Sainte-Marie hosts many activities and events to meet its mission and vision to promote the Franco culture and language in Sault Ste. Marie.
La Semaine Nationale de L'Immigration Francophone12th edition from November 3 to 9, 2024
Shaping Tomorrow's HeritageEvery year, at the beginning of November, brings together thousands of Francophones from across the country to celebrate the richness of cultural diversity and the contribution of immigrants to Francophone and Acadian communities.
The theme invites us to discover the heritage of people from all backgrounds who make up the Francophone and Acadian communities and invites us to discuss the challenges and successes of living together in each community.

Christmas Party 2024We are pleased to support the Club de Joie de Vivre for their 2024 Christmas party. They are also offering the member price for tickets to members of the Centre Francophone. The price includes dinner and live music with the Waybacks. There will be door prizes and a special gift from Santa. Tickets can be purchased at the office or online at:

Franco-Ontarien Festival
In 2010, September 25 was officially proclaimed Franco-Ontarian Day, and every year since, we have celebrated by raising the Franco-Ontarian flag at City Hall. This year, we will be celebrating and shareing the unique aspects of our Franco-Ontarian culture. Our festivities are for everyone, young and old, newcomers, Francophones, Francophiles and all those who like to have fun and discover other cultures.
On Sunday, September 22, we'll be holding our annual Francophone Community Recognition Awards ceremony. We recognize the francophone the francophone business who has done the most for the community that year, as well as the francophone entrepreneur of the year. After the ceremony, we'll host a banquet to thank all the francophones in our community for all they do to keep our culture and language alive. The banquet will be followed by a concert by Rats D'Swomp, a popular Franco-Ontarian band.
On Wednesday, September 25, there will be a flag-raising ceremony at City Hall at 11am. Dignitaries and children from french language schools and programs will be invited.

Camp Franco FunWelcome to the 2024 edition of Camp Franco Fun!
The team at the Francophone Centre welcomes you to their summer day camp organized just for you, the Francophones and Francophiles. Together, we will experience the Francophonie in action by having fun in a respectful and inclusive manner. At Camp Franco Fun, there will be activities for all tastes, from the most traditional to the most current. Participants will be delighted with physical activity, crafts, theatre, music and much more. National Film DayCanFilmDay, presented by Reel Canada, will take place on Wednesday, April 17 and celebrates Canadian cinema and filmmakers. Join us for CanFilmDay's celebration from coast to coast! The Francophone Centre is presenting the film 1991, a romantic comedy. This film will be presented in French.
